Leave it Green is always addressing current and future environmental issues. And from time to time we win a fight or two. Here you can look back on our past endeavors and see what we have accomplished.
Leave It Green was founded to save the multiple-use educational green space known as the Slippery Rock University Camp Ground. The SRU administration was considering this site for development as a single use parking lot. Students and the community joined together to communicate to the administration the amount of use and the value we all place in that resource. In the end, Leave It Green prevailed, by communicating effectively to the administrators, and the green space has been kept asphalt free! We saved the Camp Ground and solidified it’s place in the hearts and minds of the community as a place of intrinsic value.
