The Green Fund is a new student-run project stemming from Leave it Green. The purpose is to help raise money to support green programs and activities on Slippery Rock University’s campus. Currently accepting donations, The Green Fund hopes to start getting contributions from every student at SRU through tuition contributions. Projected at $5, this fee would be added to the Green Fund’s budget and returned to the students, faculty, administration and community through green programs, educational initiatives and environmentally-based scholarships and grants. Currently in the process of getting approval from the student body and the administration, The Green Fund hopes to support the livelihood of the green community on SRU’s campus through a small contribution from every student.
